Welcome back to another episode of Followers of the Way. I'm your host, Jeremiah. And in today's episode, we're going to talk about you. That's right. We're going to talk about your name. A lot of people say a name is not important. Let me challenge you for a moment. Then why is your name important? So we're going to talk about your name. So definitely hit that subscribe button, share button, and the like button. We are called followers of the way simply because Yahusha said he is the way, therefore making us followers of the way. Everything I say comes by way of revelation because Yahuwah is revelation. If you haven't already, go out and get a copy of the book, Eternal Salvation. I call it the Hellproof Doctrine because eternal salvation, once you are saved, you cannot lose it. Be not deceived by religion. And then go out and get a copy of the book, Who Do You Say I Am? It does give you the true identity of the Father and why they try so desperately to conceal it. All right, let us jump into it. Father, give us eyes to see and give us ears to hear and a heart to understand what you are saying when it comes to the power of the name. All right. Before I begin, let me ask you a question. How many people have been to the mall before or Walmart? To a store? What do you see when you go to the mall? And what do you see if you go to Walmart or Target? You see a lot of merchandise. You see a lot of products, don't you? Okay. Why are all the products distinguished by name? When you go to the mall, there's many stores distinguished by a name. Why can't it simply be welcome to the mall of many stores? Why can't Target a Walmart be welcome to the store that have many products? Pick and choose what suits your needs. It doesn't. It doesn't have that. Everything is distinguished by a name. Now, here's something that our education fails us on. Education never helps us understand why that is important. Now, they talk to us from a marketing brand perspective when it comes to the name, but they never really tell us the power of the name. So when you introduce yourself to someone, that is the most powerful thing you can do. It's more powerful than just a simple introduction. All right. You don't believe me? Let's go to the Bible. In the book of Matthew, chapter 16, verse 15, Yahusha asks a question. He said, But whom say ye I am? Now, let me ask you the same question. What is your name? I know that may sound simple, and it may sound strange, but work with me a little bit. I want you to tell me your name. I know I can't hear you. Just work with me, okay? I want you to tell me your name, but I want you to say your name out loud. I do it with you. My name is Jeremiah. All right. Now, what you just did is powerful, but you don't even know how powerful it is. You know why? The Bible tells us that the people of Yahuwah perish because of their lack of knowledge. So I'm about to educate you, put you up on game, so to speak, that what we just did, even though it's simple, yet so powerful. Remember when you were an infant? Of course you can't remember when you were the infant. Of course you can't remember when you were the embryo. But there was a time when we were all embryos in the womb. We didn't know our name. Our name, in fact, was not even revealed to us. When we came out of the womb, we still didn't know our name. As an infant, we didn't know our name. It was not revealed to us. Now, we probably began to try to enunciate our names in round two, three, or the age of four. But even then, we may have been told what our name is, and we can repeat it back to our parents, but we didn't understand our name. We didn't understand the power of our name. We simply said, My parents told me my name is Michael. So I'm Michael. And that's how we think. We've been conditioned to think that way. Now, let me challenge you for a moment. Why do certain insurance companies protect the name? There's certain brands that the insurance policy protects the name. Meaning, if you are employed by this company, you got to walk around in top character because they don't want you to bring any negativity to their name. Now, if you do, what happens? Well, look at Kanye West. You know what happens when you, a brand, give you their name to market. They take pride in that name. And if you don't take the same level of pride in that name, what happens? Now, I want you to think about that for a second. What you and I just did here momentarily, when we introduce ourselves by name, it was powerful. It was powerful. Now, let me help you understand how powerful that was. When we introduce ourselves, we give what? A name. No, no, no. I'm not talking about nicknames. I'm not talking about names or short names or names our friends or family may say to us jokingly. I'm talking about the name that is on your birth certificate. I'm talking about the name that identifies you. So when you meet someone, you share names. Now, let me help you understand how powerful that is. When you go to a restaurant and they know you by name, how does it make you feel? You go to a restaurant, hi, my name is Michael. And you are. And you've been going to this restaurant for quite some time. And every time they come in here, they call you by name. Hey, Michael. It's good to see you. Hey, Michael, how was your day? You feel like these people really care about me. Every time I walk into this place, they say my name. They know my order. I like this place. Now you have a relationship. You have a relationship with the owner. You have a relationship with the weight staff. You have a relationship with management. Why? Because you look human? No. Because you told them your name and they told you their name. And you've been going there for quite some time. Now they know who you are by name and they know what you like. Because Michael walks through the door, Michael likes orange juice, Michael like toast. How does it make you feel? It makes you feel like these people really care about me. Now, take a moment. How was that relationship established? Hi, my name is Michael. That was the beginning of that relationship. Now you go to this restaurant and they know you by name and they treat you like family. That's how powerful our name is when we introduce ourselves. Now that makes sense. Let's say you took a break from the restaurant. You haven't been there, let's say, in about two years. You decide to go back to this restaurant, you walk through the door, and they say, Hey, it's Robert. You're going to look pretty perplexed. You're going to look around and say, uh, excuse me. Robert, how you doing? And you're going to say, What did you just call me? All right, Robert, Robert, listen, listen, listen. We know your name is Michael, okay? But what happened is we haven't seen you in a while. And we always said you look more like a Robert to us. So because you haven't been here for a while, we took it upon ourselves to call you Robert. Now, we don't mean to be disrespectful or we ain't trying to be rude. We clearly know your name is Michael. You told us that, but you just kind of identify more like a Robert to us. So we thought it'd be nice to call you Robert. I want you to take a moment. Let that resonate. And I want you to ask yourself, how would that make you feel? How would it make you feel? Now, a few things is going to take place. One thing for certain would take place is this. You're going to correct them. You're going to correct them. You're going to respond back, and you're going to say, I feel disrespected, and I think you guys are being rude. I've been coming to this restaurant for quite some time. I did decide I decided to take a break. I come back because I miss you guys, and you guys treat me well here. And we have great rapport. And I walk through this door, and you call me by a name that I did not give you. I understand that your intentions mean well, but I told you my name is Michael. Your intentions does not trump the name I gave you. My name is Michael, and I want to be called by Michael. And because you show me this level of disrespect, I would not be walking into this restaurant any longer. So what broke the relationship? What broke the relationship? The relationship was good. It was established off of hi, my name is Michael. You had a great rapport. What changed? Did you change? No, you are still Michael. You didn't change. What changed the relationship? When you went back to a person that said they know your name, and they decided to call you by a different name. So that relationship started by your name, and that relationship ended because they decided to call you by a different name. You see how important that is. So I want you to take that same mindset and let us go back to the name of Yahushua. Now it's going to make sense using your own common sense. So let us go back to the book of Matthew, chapter 16, verse 15. He asked the disciples, Who do you say I am? And Peter answered, Thou art the Messiah, the Son of the living Aluah. You can find that in the book of Matthew, chapter 16, verse 16. Yahusha did not say, That doesn't matter. He did not say, Call me whatever you want to call me. What he said is, Blessed are you, Barjonh, for flesh and blood did not reveal that to you, but my father in heaven has revealed my name unto you. So Peter got the revelation from the Father. Peter knew that Yahusha was the Messiah. And Yahusha said, Upon this rock I will build my assembly, and the gates of hell would not prevail against it. That's powerful. Now let us go back to relationship. Hi, my name is Michael, right? Yahusha says, Now that you know my name, I'm going to establish something. Because the assembly is not built on confusion. The people of the name is not built on confusion. The people of the name is not built on tradition, it's not built on names man created. It's built on the revelation from the Father. And that revelation points back to the name of Yahusha. So when Yahusha said, upon this rock he would build this assembly, we understand that the assembly is built upon the revelation of his name. The assembly is built upon his identity, his authority, his name, his truth, is built upon Yahusha. So the relationship that Yahusha have with his people is based on what we say every single day. Hi, my name is Jeremiah. And you are. So Yahushua left to go build a place for his people. He said he'd be back. Now, something happened when he came back, right? He came back to his people, and his people began to call him by other names. Now I'm not going to sit here and go through the list of the names of what the people called him, but they called him by many different names. So Yahusha said, I don't know what happened when I was gone. But before I left here, I clearly told you my name is Yahusha. In fact, I told the people that follow me, my name is Yahusha. And they went throughout the whole world reminding people what I did, who I am, and that my name is Yahusha, and that my name is forever, and that I'm going to build my assembly upon this name. Now that I'm back, you're calling me every name in the book, but you're not calling me by the name I gave you. And the last time I checked, according to my word in the book of Exodus 3.15, I told everybody that this is my name forever. In fact, I went even deeper. I said, I don't care what generation you are born, this will be my name in every single generation. So Yahusha is saying, I don't know what happened, what the problem is. Now we got a problem. We got a problem. The name of Yahusha did not change. The name of Michael to that restaurant did not change. But what changed? That's a question for you. What changed? Michael didn't change. Neither did Michael tell the restaurant, you can call me Robert. Yahusha didn't change. He said, My name is forever. Then what changed? The people. The restaurant changed. The restaurant said, We're going to call you Michael. The people changed and said, We're going to call you every name but Yahusha. The people changed. But the people were never given permission to change the name of Yahusha. The restaurant was never given permission. To change the name of Michael. So, what did Michael do in the restaurant? He corrected them. So, what do you think Yahusha's going to do when he comes back? He's going to correct them. In fact, he even said it in the book of Matthew, chapter 7, and verse 22: the correction. He says, Many will say to me in that day, Master, Master, we have prophesied in thy name. And in thy name have we cast out devils, and in thy name have we done wonderful works? That's what the people are going to say to Yahusha because they don't understand why Yahusha is so upset. Listen, Yahusha, we prophesied in your name. We did works in your name. We cast out devils in your name. Why are you so upset, Yahusha? Michael, we know your name is Michael, but we're calling you Robert. We still know who you are. We still know what you like and the food you like and how you like your coffee. Michael, why are you so upset with us? Michael said, because you called me by a name I didn't give you. And Michael left the restaurant. Notice what Yahusha said, Matthew 7, 23. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you. Depart from me, ye that work iniquity. And that is the correction. And that is the correction we don't want to hear that day. Because we're going to say, I don't understand why Yahusha is so upset with me. I did everything for him. You did. But you disrespected his name. You had the audacity to call him by another name outside of the name he was revealed. That's why he's upset with you. You have the audacity to replace his name, like the name he gave us doesn't matter. That's why he doesn't know you. You have the audacity to take his name in vain when he told us that his name is forever. That's why he said, Depart from me. Yahuwah commanded. Exodus chapter 20, verse 7. Thou shalt not take the name of Yahuwah, thy Elohim, in vain, for Yahuwah would not hold them guiltless, that taketh his name in vain. I'm gonna read that again. Now this is a commandment, it's part of the ten commandments. He said, Thou shalt not take his name Yahuwah, thou Alua in vain. Because if you do, here's the correction. He said, For Yahuwah would not hold him guiltless that take his name in vain. He said, We're gonna have a problem if you don't understand what that means. Yahu should say, we're gonna have a problem if you take my name in vain and speak falsely. We're gonna have a problem if you make my name empty and you don't honor it. We're gonna have a problem if you treat my name like a common name. We're gonna have a problem if you say the name I gave you doesn't matter. We're gonna have a problem if you take my name and think you got the power to give me another name. But if your name matters to you, how much more does you think Yahoosha's name matters to him? Right? Remember Michael? Michael left the restaurant because they didn't put respect on his name. And if I call you by another name, we're not gonna be friends. And if you call me by another name, we're not gonna be friends because it's disrespectful. Now we understand that, right? Because our name to us is important. Our name is what identifies us, right? So we put pride, some of us behind our name. So how much pride do you think Yahusha will have over his name, right? Now, a lot of people look at this and say, it's no big deal, right? When it comes to the name. Okay. If it's no big deal, then don't you ever get offended when somebody calls you by a different name other than the name you gave them. If it's no big deal, right? Don't you correct anybody in your life if they call you by a different name other than the name you gave them. If it doesn't matter, then you go to work and you call your boss, your wife, your coworkers, whatever name you choose to give them, if the name doesn't matter. Now let me know the correction you get when you do this. And if you are corrected by calling somebody a different name, then understand Yahusha will correct you too. So the name may not matter to you. Fine, let us go with that. But the name may maybe matter to other people. My name matters to me. I don't want people to call me Jeremy if I didn't tell you to call me Jeremy. I don't want people to call me Ezekiel because they they can't pronounce my name correctly. I want people to call me by the name I told you to call me, the name I asked you to call me. That's Jeremiah. And if you don't, you will not get a response. You will get corrected. So I want to end with this. If you haven't got the book, grab it. Who say ye that I am? The question Yahusha asked over 2,000 years ago still stands today. The name Yahusha, even though he's not physically here, has not changed. Because he's not physically here, it doesn't mean the name Yahusha doesn't matter. It still matters. When you read the book of John, chapter 10, verse 14, Yahusha says of himself, he says, I am the good shepherd and know my sheep, and am known of mine. How do he know his sheep? And how do his sheep know him? Hi, my name is. That's how we know who he is. When he said his name to us is Yahusha, and because we believe him, and because we follow him, we are known of him, and he is known of us. How by name. Now go outside, see somebody walking, and call them by whatever name you want to call them. Let me know what response you get. Now use your own common sense here for a second. Pray to the Father by a different name than he gave you. Let me know what response you would get. So, with all you're getting, you want to definitely get understanding. And I want to end with this. What is your name? Say it to me. Say it out loud, because I would like to build a relationship with you based off who you are. And I want you to build a relationship with me based off who I am. You see, my name is Jeremiah, and my name identifies who I am. My name, Jeremiah, will be Jeremiah forever. It won't change, and your name won't change. You got the power to change your name, but I don't got the power to change your name. And if I don't got the power to change your name, then I should respect your name and the name you have given me and call you by the name you want me to call you. So with all you're getting, definitely get understanding. Because here we keep Yahusha as king.
